Monday Dose of Inspiration: Thinking Pink (and Red)

Ethereal thinking in shades pink to red thanks to Issue 9, Bloom Magazine. Looking for inspiration for a soft but colorful photo-shoot we are opting to do next weekend. Will break for color, just enough to soften the thought of more snow, looking for ways to keep chins up, looking for silver linings. I am comforted by the gorgeous imagination in these.

After a weekend under the weather, wrapped in blankets camped out on the living room floor, riveted by the revolution in Egypt, the bravery of the people, the effects on the region and the entire world, Monday is still tenuous but still a new day to stand up again.

Scenes from the Studio

I loved this bouquet sent by my sweet sister-in-law for the holidays. I love hanging my flowers upside down by their toes--I think they like it too, since I think they aim to please. This one has been cheering me up every time I look at it. Such deep pretty colors

Earrings from our new "Every Cloud has a Silver Lining Collection", getting wrapped and shipping out for the Spring shop orders. I will debut them for you sooner than you think...

and busy busy busy working on Fall pieces, getting ready to show in NY and then hustle off to exhibit in Paris in our new showroom and then a little plan for a trunk show in London...more on that soon!

Some beautiful pieces of silver, needle and bead work salvaged from old Afghani textiles made of course, by Afghani women. There is so much incredible talent and spirit imbued in each piece, we are amazed and honored to have received these. Charting some new designs to cross and honor all our cultural pathways.

Monday Dose of Tropical Color

We are looking at these pictures from our trip to Baja against the backdrop of high piles of snow and icy temperatures. Long johns fully in operation here, marshmallows at the ready for hot chocolates, but looking at these I'm in a sundress, drinking a big margarita, sand between my toes, looking forward to every new color painted by every new sunrise and sunset. Join me?

P.S. Remind me to live some place where's there's bougainvillas next time.

Hello Janvier

Starting the new year in Baja was beautiful, so far away from slush and perfectly laden with enough to ceviche and carnitas to keep me going until Paris, which is but five weeks away. But wait there's more...
