We' need someplace place to get away in August. For reasons too long and dull to go into here we weren't able to plan for a holiday earlier but now we're so ready to go.
Have been thinking of markets and mountains in Morocco or Incan ruins in Peru or tangoing in Buenos Aires or some of the other more exotic locales on my
list but I just stumbled upon these beautiful photos by

I want green and woods and a sea and quiet. And to stay at this lodge. It seems just right right now. Why not Portland to see friends and drive North?

ReplyDeleteI think Portland is definitely a good place to see green and woods and sea and quiet. I've never been there before but my boyfriend hails from the City of Roses, and could not keep gushing about how beautiful and lush it is there in summer.

ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful photographs and such a lovely place, yes the woods and sea and quiet those are very special things. My husband and I often crave these places, sometimes they become more than a want but necessary...what a beautiful discovery!

ReplyDeleteYou will love Lake Quinnalt. The forest around there is lovely and peaceful. How long will you be in Vancouver? I can recommend a cute street and a yummy seafood place. However, if you just want to escape, The Gulf Islands are perfect!
