Some from some time in Ucluelet

Ucluelet is beautiful in mist and clouds. We stayed here in this very special place, perched up on a cliff and facing this pretty lost island and Japan. There were stairs through a secret door that led down to a little cove and we played on the rocks a little. When we came back up there were perfect breakfasts made by Jen, the sweetest proprietess ever...we can't wait to go back.

Horizon West looks like a fantastic place to stay. Don't you just love the name Ucluelet? I've never been there, but sometimes I choose places based on the sound of the name....

These photos, especially the ones of the water and rocks, remind me of my vacation to Maine last August. Utter relaxation.

We LOVED Ucluelet too. It's so pretty and has a friendly small-town feel in all that untouched wilderness. Sigh... can't wait to go back.
