Long hikes in mossy old-growth rainforests a hundred shades of green, walks on mammoth beaches, the perfect lodge on a quiet lake, the late day sun setting in front of the ocean, wild salmon, kumamoto oysters and huckleberry pies. Coming home, when I look at the clouds out of the plane window, I'm trying to bring it all home with me, so home won't feel so the same as it was before we left.
Just this morning i was going to write " are you home yet!" you have been missed and i am completly happy you are back, and from the sound of it you guys have had yourself a lovely vacation!
the photo's are lovely and the drifwood is gorgeous and reminds of my time in oregon!
Was this your trip to Vancouver Island and Olympic National Park? Oh it sounds heavenly. I didn't get any huckleberry pie when I was in that area. I see I missed out!
welcome back! i hope you had a wonderful time on your travels! i do love vancouver island - i am glad i have family over there so i can visit now and then!
Isn't that the truth about the hundred shades of green? My eyes were on visual overload from our recent trip to Oregon's Willamette Valley. I've grown accustomed to the High Desert's dry, brown landscape. I think I would have wept had I been immersed in the Olympic Rain Forest's green splendor.

I can't tell which is more tranquil and soothing - the cool green forest pic or the driftwood pics. Um, I'll take both please.
