Another good reason to be home

The market on Saturday in McCarren Park had some beautiful looking stuff---I mean..red okra! Any ideas for red okra?
It was nice to see all the local seafood from our coast, beautifully translucent flounder filets, big blue point oysters and cherrystone clams, after saying goodbye to the delicious local fish on the other side--sunset-fleshed sockeye salmon, white halibut and petite kumamotos along with a wide array of other oysters whose breeding grounds we visited, like Effingham island, Fanny Bay and more.

and also nice to see these showing off on the walk home

The bouquet I bought this week--a smaller variety of sunflower with pretty lime green centers. I think nothing cheers up a Monday like a bunch of sunflowers...
