Awww, I love these images, so graphic... I love what your mother would say, I should say that, it sounds smart! When I was small my mother used to say to me, "pretty is as pretty does", because I was such a devil even then...
I just finished looking at all the photos in your past few posts. I think I'd feel like the last rose of summer if I had to leave Europe behind. (I think the last photo of this post is wonderful and I like the light!)
I was in Portland over the weekend...it was nice to see some of the last blooms. We've had too many frosty nights in the high desert to have anything left...
Your blog is so poetic and lovely. Thank you for visiting my Moroccan one. i will return to enjoy it more in detail. I'm currently in NY where my main blog is. All best wishes.
There is wonderful light going on in those leaf pictures. Beautiful. Hmmm....last rose of the summer? that is usually the most beautiful rose because we admire it when all the other roses are gone and forgotten. Sometimes being last is not a bad thing :)
gorgeous light. your images are captivating and your mother's words so...well, motherly. timeless and lovely. your blog is a delight and full of fantastic travels! i'll visit often.
And then she would say: Another country heard from.... this (name of item here) doesn't owe me a thing... That was a look that hasn't been washed in years... for thems that wants... time for shluffy
who's hungry? i have snacks

These photos are beautiful, and I especially love the fifth one down. The lighting in incredible. And the saying from your mom is quite the sweetest thing.
