A Little Portugeuse Style Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day, my little dream of beautiful romantic soaps...

and candles...

and some little bundles of bath salts...

and body lotions (for after your bath)...
some classics...(asterisk on the dainty violet soaps down there...)

oh and for him of course...(stuff I can steal anyway)...Whenever I see Claus-Porto anything, anywhere, I immediately get weak in the knees and my heart beats a little faster, the way I used to get crushes as a teenager. The scents truly transport and the packaging...? Uh...breathtaking, no? I have no words...I want to live in Claus-Porto land.

  1. I'm totally with you. I tend to get trapped by packaging and buy the prettiest one, regardless of the scent. But they all smell good! My faves are honeysuckle and vetiver.

  4. i'm in, let's start a little village in claus-porto land. dreamy.

i don't know what it is about gorgeously wrapped soaps and salts and candles, but i am always a sucker for them. like a moth to the flame...except without the burning and death when i give in, you know.

  7. Lashing out on gorgeous soaps is one of the cheapest ways to feel luxurious..I have a friend who makes the most unbelievable handmade soaps, and once I get back to the States, that is all I am ever going to use. I deserve it. :p

And those soaps look to die for...I wonder if there is a way to smell them in Hawaii? :D

  9. I am laughing so hard. First these soaps are beautiful! I love the packaging, just gorgeous and fun.

I'm laughing because I still have the soap my dad bought from me a a boutique on 5th ave when I was 12 year old. We were just looking. My dad asked if I'd like a soap and I said yes. I picked it out, the salesperson put the elaborately package soap in a fancy bag, handed it to me, looked at my dad and said, $13. My dad almost keeled over. I have that soap in my keepsake box. I'm sorry...I had to share that.

  11. I love soaps and lotions too! My favorite is Maria Evora de Espana. You should check it out if you haven't yet! Get the black one, it smells better than the white. My husband used the Musgo Real shaving cream and won't use anything else, really great stuff. I am having a giveaway at my blog - be sure to go and enter. Have a lovely weekend!

  21. I'm so in love with these. I received a package of six for Christmas and have them on display in my powder room. And the packaging is substantial enough that it can be displayed sans soap! Thanks for visiting my blog . . .

  22. It's kinda ironic this Claus-Port soups story as I actually grew up using this soups, and you have no Idea how I wanted some Palmolive or Lux for a change, I still can smell from memory, "Musgo Real", a darkish green hard soup http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31D8MSS4F7L._SL500_AA280_.jpg
this where the soups we use to sell in our drug store and they lasted so much, I was a kid. I had de same attitude to fruit, has we had a farm with almost all the fruits you can grow in western Europe, but bananas was like out of this world...
