Love

When I turned on my computer I found this on my desktop. I think Jim left it there. I am looking at it as an early Valentine.

For the last 5 years, I've spent the weeks before Valentine's Day helping romantics find the perfect gift to express their love. And yet, I keep thinking though about how much love I've been feeling, (sometimes over-feeling) these days, love for all the little things: the small acts of kindness, shoulders I've leaned on, comments left and letters sent with great care, love received and parceled at just the right times and how thankful I am for any of it. How do I give something back?

So here I am declaring Valentine's Day the official Thanksgiving of Love. Let this Valentine's Day be about all of our friends who are there when you really need them. I am lucky...I have many many and more. I have so many Valentines. I am thinking of something special.

Dearest deb your are the loveliest of them all. I love the photograph- k and i stumbled on the movie a few weeks ago and had good laugh!

i have always been scared of valentines day- i think because i feels as if so many people will feel lonely -three years ago i cut out about 50 red hearts and wrote for you in in the middle of them and placed in all over the city- three days later i was waiting to get my coffee and this woman opened her wallet in front of me and there was one of them- i felt like i was made of helium i was so happy!

I love the sound of this. The Big Lebowski...incidentally, one of my first dates with Bill. He was not embarrassed by my cackling during the movie. I guess, a sign of true love.

Maude Lebowski: Does the female form make you uncomfortable, Mr. Lebowski?

The Dude: Uh, is that what this is a picture of?

Maude Lebowski: In a sense, yes. My art has been commended as being strongly vaginal which bothers some men. The word itself makes some men uncomfortable. Vagina.

The Dude: Oh yeah?

Maude Lebowski: Yes, they don't like hearing it and find it difficult to say whereas without batting an eye a man will refer to his dick or his rod or his Johnson.

The Dude: Johnson?

I'm sending lots of love to the big lebowski too. Perhaps we should petition to rename Valentines day as the Thanksgiving of love? no?

Hey Darling Deb, guess what? We all love you. Big time. And how wonderful is Nadia's story? Just stopping by to tell you I wear your beautiful necklace all the time, and it makes me feel lucky, purty, and daredevilish every time. Kinda like a Thelma & Louise charm. You are bringing that kind of magic to people every day and you don't even know it.

xo? xo.
