May Day. May Day. Rainy Zany May Day

OK so it's the day after May Day but I took the day off and it was a great one...I was totally inspired by the most wonderful P who was lovely enough to pop over to my hood and join me for lunch.
We ate and talked and drank giant coffees and talked some more and cracked up. Then we walked until we got to Sprout Home where I may or may not have talked her into buying the beautiful climbing jasmine plant she wanted. Then she may or may not have talked me into taking a workshop at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Then the sky opened up, the rain came down and it was Spring! It was...May Day! It was a great day with P!

When I got back to ye olde homesteade, I looked up May Day on the webs and found this crafty little project. What's all this about making a pretty basket and leaving it on your neighbor's doorknob? Fantastic! How exciting! I love my neighbors! My neighbors will love a craft! So I whipped out a can, and a coat hanger and cut some stuff I had growing...purty! Then we drank beer with them! Nice Day!

your may day sounds fantastic! i'm so glad that you convinced your friend to buy a climbing jasmine...the jasmine outside of my kitchen window has been making my week completely joyous! and what a basket, too!

I had the best time, even though you wrestled me to the ground and FORCED me to buy that jasmine, which I REALLY DIDN'T WANT AT ALL.

Can I be your neighbor? That basket is so charming. And I'm extremely jealous of your lilacs.

Take the class! Take it!
