Hi Everyone! Marichelle here from Heart Handmade and Wunderlust filling in for Deb while she takes a well deserved break from workspace remodeling hell. Deb, thank you very much for entrusting me with a password to your blog - I'll try not to plaster red hearts everywhere ;)
I asked Deb if she wanted me to post about anything specific and I guess she hasn't had her fill, coz she suggested I post about my own workspace! So here we go...
I moved into our new home back in October and sadly, this room was pretty low on the priority list and is in definite need of a major makeover. In fact, I was going for a more blueish teal and I ended up with this - a little too much green. Repainting this room has been on my to-do list for a while now.
I work on Heart Handmade full-time, so you'll usually find me in this little corner. I'm literally in front of my trusty iMac for more than 8 hours a day. We didn't have much of a budget when it came to furnishing this room so everything in it is from our old studio apartment (IKEA and the Container Store).

When I'm not blogging, you'll find me over at this corner - otherwise known as my "workshop" or "crafting corner" as my boyfriend likes to call it. That's an Elfa unit from the Container Store, it does a pretty good job at housing all of my supplies. The little wooden countertop (doubles as my sewing table) is from IKEA and conveniently folds down when not in use. If I could change anything in this room, it would be more counter/work space or a permanent sewing table like this one and switching out the furniture with some lovely antiques.

Across the room you'll find this giant shelving unit (also from IKEA). I call it my packing center, it's where I keep all of my packing supplies - bubble wrap, envelopes, boxes (behind closed doors). It also holds all of my favorite magazines and craft books.

My favorite shelf is the one that keeps all of my little trinkets for making each order/package special. I love opening packages, so it's def one of the things that I love to focus on.
Hey Deb, let me know if you're ever interested in taking charge of another workspace reno!
