The weekend is over. Two very incredible sales of which I cannot show you pictures today because my little camera finally went kapoot this morning. But I will soon...this week, so I can tell you how nice it was to meet so many amazing designers and artists and wonderful customers too. And to show you the beautiful art I got and other assorted sundries. Until then, here's a little glimpse of my surroundings mostly taken in the Fall when I was a little less busy and my little camera was still alive...{goodbye old friend...}
(p.s. That second picture is my mother and my uncle next to Jim's great-great aunts in Iowa!)
The candied rosemary: Really easy. Boil rosemary in a 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water for about five minutes. Remove and put on a rack to dry (very important, else the sugar clumps) for about an hour. Roll in baker's (superfine) sugar. The post before the one you commented on has a link to Epicurious.com where I found this (it's party of a larger recipe). This stuff is such a pretty winter garnish, but everyone at my dinner last night chewed on theirs and left little sticks on their plates!
what a lovely collection of bits and images. i can see how your surroundings inspire. they cross many materials and styles and histories. this makes me newly aware of my own. i love when that happens!
your style and taste is so unique. hope you enjoy shopping for and finding a new camera. i have just been through this process after my camera went kapoot in september.
Ahh....your home is so lovely and special(in real life as well! :) Those photos are fantastic and I am so glad you had a great weekend! Sorry your little camera died...:( xo Melis
This peek into your world has me hungry to see more! I'm totally intrigued and in love... I really enjoy how you sprinkle in bits of the natural world in so many of your shots. Your photos always capture something magical and I'll hope for a camera worthy of you skills to replace your old friend.
aw..thanks you guys...since all of you can;t come over, just a little invite in! (we're researching the new camera now...in the meantime, it's like I've lost my cell phone...)
