I was so excited to hear the ever-so-lovely Raina gifted herself a very special bonbon: my Rose de la Prairie from this season's Les Pres et Les Bois Collection (inspired by Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass)...it is antique glass with a rosary of tiny freshwater pearls and a 24k gold-dipped charm of a little bison. I am always so impressed with all of you incredible photographers...She chose a perfect setting for these stunning photos, perfectly capturing what I wanted this collection to be about: the quietness of the winter prairie of long ago.
The other night, I think I woke up in the middle of the night, which I do sometimes when I'm really busy, and went to my computer. I read that I had won something and then I was so excited I went back to sleep. Yesterday I remembered it as a dream, or an awake dream, or a total figment of my imagination...with images and everything of a man with sparkling wings in a very ethereal setting...but then when I went to one of my new favorite blogs this morning, it wasn't a dream. I actually won something. Which goes to show that sometimes we're all winners and other times we really win something! And other times we should try to get some rest. I will love this always Katrina. Thank you.
*Oh and hey...thanks everyone for keeping the contributions to the raffle coming in...There's still 9 days left so keep on keeping on, posting about it if you don't mind and now an added twist: For contributions of $100 or more (that's 10 tickets!), I will send you a little pair of one of these as a thank you...
and please come visit me this weekend where raffles tickets will only be $5 and you can rub elbows (and maybe noses) with some of the shining NY star designers and artisans!
