Brideshead Revisited, Revisited

Had a meeting with a very lovely bride-to-be last week and put this piece together as a possible combination for her headpiece. It would match her sweeping 1940's-style gown, glamorous with three soft velvet flowers over soft silk tulle at the halter neck.

She wanted originally a piece to tuck in her chignon, but I thought that a piece worn to the side with a flower mimicing what was happening in the back and a touch of navy blue--it's the antique French silk netting I found a few weeks ago which I'm so excited to use--would complement the dress and give her audience that day something to get them ready for the gorgeous finale that is the back of that dress.

She's getting married at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a beautiful setting (and amazing restaurant) in the Hudson Valley.
