Fall Back

Last year in October, after Paris, Jim came to meet me and we took a little trip in Normandy. We started in the Perche region, only an hour and a half West of Paris, the trip wholly inspired by this article. It turned out to be the perfect Fall trip, like a French New England, but with cider and Calvados, boudin noir and tarte tatin, hikes through small vine-covered villages and in misty magical almost shire-like(!) landscapes with rich green and yellow grasses, deep colored leaves and flowers, past small stone houses and rich chateaus.
Maybe someday I can open a little inn in the Perche. It would be a dream.

I can't decide if I like the photo of the "puppy" in the window or the cow better. Wonderful photos!

That little dog poking its head out from the curtains is so cute. Looks like he's saying, "Is it time to perform?" :)
