it's still August ,right?

from Lake Quinault in Olympic National Park

but my head is in September today...we're busy busy getting ready for our photoshoots next week, tweaking the Spring 2009 collections, adding and subtracting, questioning and working away like busy elves getting ready for Christmas.

I leave for Paris on September 28th to do Le Showroom and teaching two workshops in September at Make Workshop (hey come take my class!) and doing a few Brooklyn Fleas as well. And web orders. And shop orders to fulfill. I know there are worse problems but I need a few pictures of greener days to calm my nerves...

Hello Bonbon, Thank you for stopping by at my blog (I love Fifi Flowers and have just ordered one of her acrylic pictures). To reply to your question, Sarthe is a French region. You may not have heard about the Sarthe, but maybe you have heard about the 24 hours of Le Mans, a car race that lasts 24 hours. Le Mans is the capital of the Sarthe, and it is 180 miles west of Paris, on the way to Brittany.
I have enjoyed reading your posts and we look forward to meeting you here in Paris in September.

I looked at Le Showroom and just the name has brought back memories. My dad worked in women's wear for 45 years in the garment district and I remember going to different showrooms, different contractors and also looking at the designers sketches on walls...all so exciting to a child, but also I saw all the hard work. More memories: the button guy (not mafia button!), fit models, Women's Wear Daily, hats, bags and propts from fashion shows being brought home. Shame of it all...I was never really interested, prefering to bake!

That is a lot of GREENERY! Beautiful photos!
You ARE going to Paris... I want to go!
BTW... My photos are from a time in Paris YEARS AGO in the month of March... it was cold but WONDERFUL!!!
There will be a SC Marie Antoinette painting Series by moi soon, but not too soon.
