Oh Linden

This blog has made me rethink the idea of time passing--I commemorate things now that previously existed only in my mind prior to keeping logs like this: the first rose blooms, the window of opportunity for zucchini blossoms at the farmers market for once-a-summer blossom fritters, or the smell of the Linden trees as they open on my street getting stronger and sweeter this one week only in June, just as they did last year and the year before. It's one of the best smelling weeks of the year in these here parts.

This blog is my own personal farmer's almanac. It's helped me to learn my rituals.

I so love the different seasons and smells that they bring. Memories abound. I meant to tell you when I sent swap stuff out that I absolutely adore your jewelry line-and am featuring tomorrow on my little blog. Have a lovely evening in my favorite place on earth, ok besides San Francisco:)

Hello Bonbon,
I come by way of Elizabeth.
Your site is very nice and your work is too. What you say about the meaning of time and commemoration is true. Having a blog changes the way one looks at many things.
Looking back, I have realized more about the richness life and how colorful being alive truly is!

Have a lovely day ~ sweet bird.

I've been wondering what that intoxicating scent was around williamsburg and greenpoint the last few days!
For some reason, I don't recall it from the last few years I've lived here.
p.s. we've been looking for some good daytrip out of the city ideas and I thought you might have some good ones!
